Muzan

Muzan Kibutsuji (Kibutsuji Muzan^?) is the main antagonist of Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is the Demon King, the first of his kind, as well as the progenitor of all other demons in existence. Muzan is also the leader of the Twelve Demon Moons, an organization of the twelve strongest demons in existence that serve directly under him.

A millennium ago, Muzan was turned into a demon while trying to cure his own terminal illness, and his goal since then was to live without the fear of death and become truly eternal. He plans to accomplish this in 2 ways: finding the Blue Spider Lily or creating more demons in hopes that one day one would be able to conquer their weakness of sunlight.

As the Demon King, Muzan can control all those who have assimilated his blood to become demons, with Nezuko Kamado, Tamayo, Yushiro, and later Chachamaru being the only exceptions. It is later revealed that Muzan is of the same bloodline as the Ubuyashiki Family.

Muzan scales to around 8-B, (City level)

Instantly regenerated as Obanai was cutting through his neck and regenerated so fast that Mitsuri initially thought that slashing attacks phased through his body)

• Biological Deconstruction (By injecting his blood into humans he causes them rapid mutation that results in cellular destruction and quick melting and vaporization of their body. Muzan weaponizes his blood by infusing it with his physical attacks, making a single scratch deadly. Demons can only survive adapting to a small amount of Muzan's blood at a time)
• Shapeshifting (Stated to be a being with no fixed form. He normally possesses seven hearts and five brains with no fixed location, with his internal organs constantly moving and changing position. Can form tentacle-like and whip-like weapons throughout his body with surprising speed, a hulking mass of flesh and eyes and mouths to shield himself or crush his opponent, a giant cocoon that allows him to adapt to poison faster. Can accurately impersonate others with his shapeshifting for identity theft)
• Absorption (Can absorb people and objects by phasing them into his body, which would be able to permanently kill demons despite their regeneration and immortality. This allows him to acquire some of the abilities of those he absorbed such as Nezuko's immunity to the sun, and to summon the ghosts of those he absorbed to communicate with them)
• Corruption (Type 1) and Power Bestowal (By injecting a miniscule amount of his blood into a human through a scratch or other means, he is able to immediately transform them into a demon. Demons created by Muzan are bound under his control and curse though he normally allows them free rein as long as they don't disappoint him. Muzan can telepathically communicate with the demons under his curse and access their vision and memories, and can turn off their regeneration or cause them to die)
• Memory Manipulation (Can acquire the memories of others by absorbing their cells, or bestow demons his memories either through blood or telepathy)

Attack Potency: At least Multi-City Block level (Incomparably stronger than the Upper Moons. Even while weakened and aged, he easily held back Gyomei, Sanemi, Giyuu, Obanai, Mitsuri, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Kanao at the same time and later one-shot all of them after getting serious), can ignore conventional durability with the blood coating his physical attacks (If his blood enters someone's body, their cells will be destroyed causing rapid melting and vaporization)

Speed: At least Massively Hypersonic (Much faster than Akaza, his attacks are hard for Tanjiro, Giyu, Mitsuri and Obanai to dodge and counter)

Lifting Strength: At least Class 100 (Superior to Gyomei and Kokushibo)

Durability: Unknown, at least Multi-City Block level with his neck (While the durability of a demon's body is inconsistent and can be hurt by weaker foes, their necks are their most durable body part and can tank attacks from characters who are comparable to their AP) and with Flesh Shield (Can briefly stave off the sun for a moment. Tanked attacks from Sanemi, Giyu and Obanai); regeneration makes him very difficult to kill

Stamina: Infinite (Demons don't tire)

Range: Tens of Meters with whips and shockwaves (Casually killed a crow flying far away with a suddenly formed and dismissed arm whip. Up to Thousands of Kilometers with telepathy (Demons are distributed throughout Japan, with Muzan being aware of their actions and location. Is able to abruptly teleport all Lower and Upper Moons into the Dimensional Infinity Fortress regardless of their location)

Intelligence: Genius (Lived for over a millennia and gained further experience from the telepathic link with demons he control. Using five brains at a time was stated to boost his intelligence. As a human he was skilled at reading the negative emotions of others and was able to manipulate his five wives to commit suicide. Was able to evade the Demon Slayer Corps for hundreds of years when he didn't want to be found despite the leaders of the corps possessing precognition, and used demons to create distractions somewhere far away when he wanted to hide something from the corps. Is a master chemist, and enjoys importing goods, learning foreign languages, and studying newly invented machines. Able to impersonate rich and influential individuals and blend in with human society. Able to create networks for information gathering and to secure funding using the different identities he assumed, without the humans he commands and manipulates being aware he is a demon)

Weaknesses: The sun turns him into ashes. Wisteria flowers are poisonous to him. Extraordinarily arrogant and a perfectionist, and is easily offended. A hit from Crimson Red Blades can hamper demonic regeneration and incinerate his cells if at a high enough level.

Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Demonic Blood: After consuming the Blue Spider Lily, Muzan developed supernatural blood with special properties that can transform humans into demons once ingested. His special blood also seems to give rise to a plethora of special abilities unique to demons such as powerful regeneration, the power to shapeshift, immortality, an accelerated growth rate, enhanced physical prowess and even supernatural abilities called Blood Demon Arts. Muzan can also further empower a demon by giving more of his blood, enhancing their preexisting abilities. However this is limited to how much blood the recipient can withstand and adapt to. If a human were to take in too much blood from Muzan, their body would mutate faster than they can withstand, causing them to self-destruct into one giant mass of flesh before disintegrating into ash. The same would also presumably happen to a demon if they couldn't withstand the blood's effects, as implied by Muzan.

Later, it was revealed that Muzan has learned to weaponize this particular trait of his blood. By coating attacks in his blood, he could inject an opponent during combat with his blood through the wounds he makes. The dosage would be too much to handle and instead act like a poison and destroy the human body's cells shortly after they enter. It is later revealed by Kokushibo that users of Total Concentration Breathing resist the effects of Muzan's blood more than normal humans.

Dimensional Infinity Fortress: A pocket dimension created by Nakime who can freely teleport others inside it. It resembles a maze with many rooms and stairs, with some of the areas being upside down with reversed gravity. The pocket reality contains several Lower Moon level demons, and can potentially include Upper Moons.

Combat Form: When fighting, Muzan can adopt a more monstrous form, with a dark-red mass covering his limbs, featuring sharp-toothed wide mouths, with his torso exposed. His hair becomes longer, and messier . His speed, strength, reflexes, and power are greatly magnified in this form to the point that, despite having lost a great amount of stamina and endurance in fending off Tamayo's human transforming drug, he was still fully capable of easily outmaneuvering several low ranking Demon Slayers and consuming scores of them within minutes of emerging from his cocoon.

In this form, he is also strong enough to create massive craters in the ground or destroying entire chunks of buildings. The sharp toothed jaws/mouths located all over his body in this form not only serve as his main form of offense in battle, but also have the purpose of helping him recover faster since he can use the jaws to tear apart his opponents and eat their flesh, simultaneously killing his opponents and regaining his strength at the same time.

• Arm Whips: Muzan can stretch his arms and grow several sharp blades in his extended forearms and shape shift his hands into several bladed protrusions, each ranging from 90 centimeters (35.4 inches) to 10 meters (32.8 feet), which he could then swing like whips to easily tear his opponents to pieces. The sheer swinging speed of his attacks is extremely fast and the precision of his attacks is also extremely accurate. And, due to the sheer length of his arms, Muzan possesses such a massive attack range that not even three Pillars could get close to him.
  • Mouth Suction: Muzan's arm whips also possess numerous mouths full of sharp fangs all throughout them. Muzan can use these mouths to breathe with absurd force and suction strength that he can change at any moment from extremely long ranges, which he uses to pull his opponents into striking range of his arm whips. This will prove severely impeding for the Hashiras' movements as avoiding them will consume a lot more stamina.
• Leg Whips: Muzan later grew 4 tubes on each thigh, each of 7 meters (22.9 feet) in length. Unlike his spinal whips, they are much quicker and, thanks to his immense skill in shapeshifting, he can rapidly grow the whips and then dispel them faster than the human senses can perceive, allowing him to attack from one's blind spots easily, shown when he manages to use them to critically injure four Hashira and PIllar-level Demon Slayers without them sensing or perceiving that Muzan's body had altered and morphed itself.
• Spine Whips: Later, upon being further enraged, Muzan grow 9 thin tubes, each 4 meters (13.1 feet) in length, akin to spine-like protrusions from his back that extend into bladed, whip-like tentacles. With them, Muzan is able to drastically increase his attack range and number of attacks in tandem with his whip arms, allowing him to easily mow down hordes of Demon Slayers and corner four Pillars. Furthermore, its incredibly difficult to read the trajectory of each of whip, making it even more nearly impossible to counter.

Black Blood, Brambles (・ Kokketsu: Kikyoku^?) - Muzan uses his own flesh and blood to create several black spiked-barbed wires to entangle his target.

Shockwave Energy Blast: Later, upon being forced into a corner by Tanjiro and Obanai and weakened by Tamayo's four stage drug, Muzan showcased another unique ability of his Blood Demon Art, in which he morphed his torso and upper body into a gigantic beastly mouth. From this, he released a strong energy-like shockwave that damaged the nervous systems of those caught in it, causing extreme seizures and convulsions, even rendering them unable to breathe for a brief period of time. This attack was so strong that when Tanjiro and Obanai were damaged by this technique, even Kiriya and his sisters, who were connected to them through the crows in the area, received a brunt of the attack.
